How does the car transport service work?
First, we gather all the details needed to provide an accurate quote: your vehicle type, pickup location, and destination. Once agreed, we send a small amount of paperwork to complete. Then one of our drivers meets you at the pickup location, takes the keys, and begins the drive. Most deliveries are completed within 2-5 days depending on distance, and our drivers stay in constant communication throughout.
Where do you drive to within Canada?
We drive to and from anywhere in Canada accessible by road or ferry — all 10 provinces and the territories. As an Ontario-based company most routes start or end in southern Ontario, but we’ve worked with clients from Newfoundland to British Columbia. Call us to discuss your specific route.
How much does car transport within Canada cost?
Every trip is priced individually based on distance, pickup and drop-off locations, and travel dates. Reach out with your details for a custom quote — we typically respond within an hour.
What is your cancellation / refund policy?
A client may cancel their reservation at any time for any reason before their vehicle is in our possession. If cancelled before 21:00 EST two calendar days prior to pickup, you will not owe any further payments. If cancelled at or after 21:00 EST two calendar days prior to pickup, 50% of the total amount will be due. Deposits are retained in either scenario to cover costs associated with the reservation.
What about insurance?
The vast majority of Canadian car insurance policies come with permissive use insurance coverage. This means that you still have coverage if another driver operates your vehicle, as long as you have given them permission to do so. In the unlikely event that an at-fault insurance claim occurs while we are in possession of your vehicle, we will pay the deductible.
Is driveaway really the most affordable option?
For most routes, yes — once all costs are factored in. Rail delivery is cheaper on paper but can take two weeks or more, forcing many people to pay for a rental car in the meantime. Truck transport is comparable in cost for high-traffic routes, but for less common routes trucking companies either wait for volume or charge a premium for expedited service. Driveaway typically offers the best balance of cost, speed, and convenience.
Are you able to transport any type of vehicle?
We transport almost every vehicle type, as long as it has four wheels and requires a standard driver’s license to operate. The car has to be in drivable condition. We can also tow a small trailer upon request.
