Relocating a vehicle to the United States is not as simple as just driving it across the border. As with any good that enters the U.S., a vehicle is treated as an import. Your vehicle relocation will fall into one of three categories:
- U.S. Registered Returning Vehicle: If you are a U.S. resident who will be returning a U.S.-registered vehicle.
- Temporary Import: If your vehicle is registered in Canada and will be present in the U.S. for less than a year.
- Formal Entry: If your vehicle is Canadian Registered and will be imported to the U.S. permanently.

For cross-border moves, we will handle all the required paperwork to temporarily import your vehicle into the United States without your presence. How much does the vehicle relocation service cost?
The cost of the service to relocate a vehicle is custom for each trip and depends on many factors including the specific date, the pick-up address, and the drop-off address. Reach out to us with your details to obtain an exact quote.
Are you authorized to transport vehicles across the U.S. border?
Yes, all we require from you is a letter indicating that you have given us your permission to transport your vehicle into the United States. As a registered commercial vehicle carrier with U.S. Customs & Border Control, we handle all the required paperwork and work with a customs broker when required to ensure a smooth transaction.
What about insurance?
The vast majority of Canadian car insurance policies come with permissive use insurance coverage. This means that you still have coverage if another driver operates your vehicle, as long as you have given them permission to do so. In the unlikely event that an at-fault insurance claim occurs while we are in possession of your vehicle, we will pay the deductible.
Can you pick my car up from anywhere in Canada or the U.S.?
As a Canadian company, we can deliver vehicles to and from anywhere within Canada. At this time, however, trips must either start or finish at a Canadian address. This means we can deliver a vehicle from an address in Canada to an address in the United States, or vice versa, but we are unable to deliver a vehicle between a U.S. address and another U.S. address.
Are you able to transport any type of vehicle?
We transport almost every vehicle type, as long as it has four wheels and requires a standard driver’s license to operate. The car has to be in drivable condition. We can also tow a small trailer upon request.
